纽约大学中国学生学者联谊会（CSSA at NYU）新主席诞生！

经过为期一个月的筹备，纽约大学中国学生学者联谊会（CSSA at NYU）主席换届选举于2011年3月4日在纽约大学顺利举行。纽约大学四年级学生孙放（Tom Sun）当选为2011-2012年度CSSA主席，将负责领导下一学年学生会的工作。

本次选举时长近一个小时，选举委员会主席沈琳主持了整个选举过程。首先2010-2011届联合主席孙轶敏和宋鹏程总结过去一年的学生工作，并发表卸任感言，表达了对今后学生会工作的美好祝福。然后候选人进行自由演讲，介绍工作计划和学生会建设设想，并对执行委员会成员提出的问题一一进行解答。

新主席由当天到场的所有CSSA执行委员会成员匿名投票选出。此过程在CSSA选举委员会的严密监督下执行，当场唱票，确保了选举的公正、公平、公开。顾问委员会成员2008-2009年度主席温寒，2009-2010年度主席郑小重和2008-2009年度财务长韩非以及现场的几十名学生代表观看并监督了整个选举过程。孙放作为唯一候选人，以34票同意1票弃权的成绩顺利当选，选举结果即日生效，新的执行委员会将于4月1日举行第一次例会，正式开始工作。”

On the evening of March 4th, after a comprehensive speech, a rigorous 45 minutes Q&A session, the presidential candidate Tom Sun with an absolute majority of votes became the president of CSSA for the academic year 2011-2012. Tom Sun, a senior from Tisch School of Arts, has worked in CSSA ever since he was a freshman. In his campaign speech, Tom first recounted on the three years of enriching experiences in CSSA, emphasizing on the deep and influential friendship he has developed with co-workers. Then, he presented a blueprint of the programs in the coming year. The diverse programs range from causal gatherings to career panels, from city-scale dance parties to variety shows for charity. Tom’s executive power was displayed at last month’s “City in Love” party, as he was the principle organizer. On February 25th, Kimmel’s E&L auditorium housed 650 guests from all over New York City, creating a vibrant scene. Upon accepting presidency, Tom announced his goals to outwardly further distinguish NYU CSSA from those of other universities by organizing large events and inwardly bring closer the Chinese Student population at NYU. His enthusiasm and determination won him warm approvals of the members of CSSA.
